W. Ethan McCallum
Professional Summary
Ethan McCallum is a civil litigation attorney and began practicing law in California on June 5th, 2020. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with an English minor from Chapman University in 2015. Ethan graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2018 where he earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Legal Research.
During law school, Ethan interned with Judge Towery at the Santa Clara County Superior Court before he was hired as a law clerk with the Costanzo Law Firm, a boutique employment and civil litigation firm. In this role, Ethan worked with clients directly to pursue and defend against claims informally and through litigation when necessary. As an associate attorney with McDowall Cotter, Ethan advocates for his client’s best interests across a variety of issues and in all stages of litigation, including, but not limited to, discovery, depositions, law and motion, alternative dispute resolution, and trial.
Ethan looks forward to getting involved with the San Mateo County Bar Association, Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Defense Counsel, and more. Ethan has a passion for community service and was recognized by the Center for Social Justice and Public Service at Santa Clara University School of Law for his volunteer work. During his free time, he enjoys going on road trips and sailing adventures with his long-time girlfriend, as well as skiing and boating excursions with his friends. He also enjoys working on cars, cooking, and reading Stephen King and John Grisham novels.
